And totally unrelated to anything I've brought up before

You moderate a very popular community. One which, given its focus, relies on being updated regularly. As the community has very strict posting guidelines for very obvious and understandable reasons, all posts are moderated, and need to be approved before showing up.

You knew back in December that you were going to become fairly unavailable in the foreseeable future. You had the foresight to announce this to the comm, and even asked for people to step up to fill in for you.

Many people volunteered. Either you didn't respond to any of them, or you did so in private, and the people to whom you responded utterly flaked.

The comm is now lucky to get updated once a week. I've seen it go even longer than that without any posts from you to my F-list. This has messed me up in the past. It's recently messed someone up so badly that by the time the post went through, the reason they needed said post had already gone to their publisher.

By now, a few of you probably know exactly the community I'm talking about. I'm not upset over this (okay, I was when I was trying to do some genetics research a few weeks ago, and it took forever to get the very simple answer I needed); more... disappointed, I guess. It can't be that difficult to find decent help.

Clearly, I'm tired and cranky and should just get off the internet for a while.
