No, I meant anime/manga. It just grinds me the wrong way because everyone looks the same.

I've gone and fallen in love with Jim this series, especially after Reichenbach. Good lord, he's amazing.

Lol, I can't distinguish between people easily IRL so I probably didn't notice it being any worse. I agree with some manga though - if the two lead characters have an almost identical name and/or look nearly identical I don't even start the series. I think you'd like the plot though.

I avoid most animated things/comics on principle, unless the art appeals. It doesn't matter how good the story is. If the art is fuck-ugly, I won't willingly suffer though it. *shrug*

*nods* I tend to get attracted by good artwork, but kept on by characters if the artist changes. E.g. X-men, runaways.

Man, when the guy who draws The Boys started mucking about with the style, I damn near stopped reading. I couldn't work out what the hell was going on. lol

Yeah I got cross when I couldn't tell Chase and Victor apart in Runaways. That series got put on hold though.

The general rule of thumb is that you can't tell the characters apart through silhouette alone, then you are suffering from poor character design.

Yeah. When I have faceblind moments, it's more like 'Oh, sorry, I didn't recognise you in that coat'. I'm actually much better at recognising fictional characters than real people because they tend to have a consistant feature.

For example, if Horatio Caine was to approach me in the street, I'd recognise him right away. If the actor who plays him was dressed as a completely different character, I wouldn't.
