Hmm
The renovations upstairs have done us no bit of good.
There's someone up there right now; whether staff or a new tenant, I can't be sure. But I can tell you that they've been moving back and forth from the sitting room to the kitchen for the last 90 minutes. Every so often, they'll stop, as they have just now, but it starts up again after a few minutes.
Oh, and now they're hanging a picture on the wall, just between the door and the window. And I'm pretty sure they made toast earlier.
Seriously. I can hear EVERYTHING they do up there now. Yesterday, I heard someone talking. Couldn't quite make out the words, but it was definitely one side of a phone conversation. I think we may wind up moving away, regardless. This is getting absurd.
Also, I got a new dining table from Amazon today. True, it will make the room seem a bit smaller, but it will also be nice to actually have one. Even if all it does wind up doing is holding my laptop and a bunch of books and post. Basically, it's a place to put things that will work well in front of the window. And where I may occasionally go do a bit of writing. I will, however, have to find a new place for Fred.
