Game of Shadows

I find myself having conflicting feelings about this thing. On the one hand, Irene Adler aside, the first film did do wonderfully at putting Sherlock Holmes back into the public consciousness. I do think that's a good thing. On the other hand, Irene Adler. She could not have been presented any worse than she was, nd think that is a very bad thing.

I'm also a bit hesitant about Stephen Fry as Mycroft. Oh my. Yes. That could be so wonderful. But I just know that the studio have paid for Stephen Fry in a waistcoat, and not Stephen Fry playing a role that isn't himself. I half expect him to call someone 'my darling,' actually.

No, I don't think I'll be seeing this. You lot have fun with it, though. I just... I just can't.

It'll be a laugh though. My Mum got Empire magazine which had a pic of Law and RDJ looking dead shifty with the caption 'Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law catch sight of Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman'. I kind of like it's got a touch of the ridiculous.

Not sure about this business with the gypsy princess complete with throwing knives and tarot cards though.
