WTF, Self?

Yesterday, while in CrackChat, I found myself having a sudden craving for orange juice. So, I got up, went to the kitchen, and poured some. Maybe my brain was frazzled from the heat or something, I don't know, but I put the jug in the freezer when I was done. About five seconds later, I realised that the orange juice does not belong in the freezer, and fetched it out.

And I cracked my elbow REALLY HARD on the refrigerator door handle. Normally, I can be fairly quiet when I do something stupid (for not wanting to wake Ryan), but boy howdy did that ever hurt, and I can assure you that there was some very heavy swearing. And it wasn't your normal "whacked your funny bone" sort of hurt. This was an honest to goodness, "Oh, sweet mother of FUCK" sort of hurt.

And it still hurts. Especially when I accidentally bump the wall (which is more often than you may realise, since my computer arrangement is set up with my sofa, which is pushed up against the wall).

I don't think it's broken. There's no swelling or odd colouration of which to speak. In fact, I can draw a neat little circle right around where it hurts.

I'd told myself that it if was worse when I woke up today, I'd go to hospital. It's rather sort of samey, and given the other lack of issues, I think I've probably just bruised the bone or something.

Still hurts, though.

The more I fiddle around with it, the more Latin is reminding me of German. Some of the verbs are even the same in certain conjugations, which I find infinitely amusing.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone was my benchmark for when I was learning German. My plan is to get my hands on a Latin copy, and be able to read it by the end of December. Why Harry Potter? Because I'm familiar with it, which I found whilst reading it auf Deutsch helped immensely when I got stuck. I was able to figure out some of the words I didn't know just by context. Also, since I've already got Harry Potter in a huge collection of languages, I might as well add Latin to that list.
