New Year Thing

Stupid holiday. I know you're the reason there was no Sunday Rec Day or Make Me a Monday post this week. Come on, those are my favourite parts of the week.
Right. It's that holiday today/tomorrow, innit? The one where not a single arsing thing is open and getting anything done is impossible. I never got round to the shop today (or, yesterday as the case may be, given that it's nearly 5am), on account of having seriously crashed and slept all day.
My knee is killing me, so I doubt I'll be getting to the shop at all today (proper; fuck, sleeping odd hours screws up syntax).
Also, I'm getting a cold. All I can smell/taste is green, and I hate it.
Although, I don't think I could have timed a crash any better if I'd tried. I've only been up a few hours, and I'm ready to go back to bed. Maybe I'll just sleep through that holiday and pretend it never happened this year.

I've always been rather slow at this sort of thing, but I've only just figured out what I'm doing for the 4th (today). My brother is lame, and is sleeping all day. My other brother is lame, and is sleeping all day. My third brother is probably being lame and sleeping all day. I think my sister is doing something with her man. I don't know.
Turns out, my cousin was out looking for something to do (ie- going around on Facebook, asking people what they have planned), so we agreed on a solution. I'll pay for petrol, and he'll drive us up to Castle Rock. I was supposed to go down to the beach today with Joel, but I think he got eaten by a bear or something last night. I don't even know.
